What are Additional Air Conditioning Vents?
AC vents are the outlets (and in some cases return grilles) that let conditioned air move through a space. A well-designed ducted system uses vents to distribute airflow evenly, but certain layouts, renovations, or undersized ducting can leave some rooms undersupplied.
The goal of installing additional AC vents is to improve overall airflow balance so that every room conditions more evenly.
Additional vents may include:
- Supply vents to deliver more cooled or heated air into a room.
- Return vents to improve air circulation back to the unit.
- Repositioning or resizing vents in areas where airflow is restricted.
